Delete your account and data

Last updated: September 2026

This page explains how to delete your TeaderBook account and the data our server holds, what is removed, what is kept, and for how long. Both actions are done from inside the app and take effect immediately — you do not need to write to us.

Most of what TeaderBook knows about you is not on our server at all. Your books, your reading position, your dictionary, your review progress and your statistics are stored only on your phone and were never uploaded. Uninstalling the app removes them.

1. Delete your data from the server

Available whether or not you are signed in, as soon as the app has sent our server anything — a translation by Smart translation, or a subscription purchase. An installation that has sent nothing has nothing on the server, and the item is not shown.

  1. Open TeaderBook.
  2. Tap Account in the bottom bar.
  3. Tap Delete my data from the server.
  4. Confirm.

This removes the daily-allowance counters tied to your installation and, if you subscribe, this device's place on your purchase. The purchase itself is not cancelled — it is what the store was paid for — so the paid plan simply stops applying to this device until you press Restore again. The app warns you about this before it deletes anything.

It does not start the day over. The free translations you have already used stay used for the rest of the 24 hours: the app keeps that one number on your phone, and tells our server about it, so that deleting your data is not a way to get a second free allowance. The number is a count and nothing else — it says how many, never what you translated.

If you are signed in, this deletes your account as well, exactly as described in section 2.

2. Delete your account

Only relevant if you signed in with Google or Apple. Signing in is optional in TeaderBook.

  1. Open TeaderBook.
  2. Tap Account in the bottom bar.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm.

Every session is revoked immediately and the account stops working at once. The rows survive for 14 days so that an accidental deletion can be undone, and are then permanently purged.

3. If you have already uninstalled the app

A new installation gets a new identifier, so it cannot reach the data of the one you removed. That data is little: the daily-allowance counters delete themselves after 24 hours, and a subscription's record of your old device lasts only as long as the purchase.

To delete your account, reinstall, sign in with the same Google or Apple account and follow section 2. For anything else — or if you would rather not reinstall — write to support@maxesoft.com, from the email address you signed in with if you had an account, or with the order number from your store receipt if you subscribed. We answer within 30 days and usually much sooner.

4. What is deleted, what is kept

DataWhat happens
Your email addressDeleted with the account, permanently after the 14-day window
Which provider you signed in with, and its identifier for youDeleted with the account, permanently after the 14-day window
Sign-in tokens for your devicesRevoked immediately, then deleted
Daily-allowance counters (per-installation identifier)Deleted on request; deleted automatically after 24 hours in any case. Your phone keeps the count of what you had already used, and reports it back, so that deleting is not a way to start the day over
Your device's place on a subscriptionDeleted on request
The record of a purchase (store, product, plan, paid-through date)Kept, with its link to your account removed. It is the record of a payment a store made and of an entitlement that may still be restored on another device
Daily totals of what Smart translation cost usKept for accounting. They carry no identifier, no language pair and no text, so nothing in them points at you
The text you translatedNever stored in the first place — it is held in memory for the length of the request and is not logged
Books, reading position, dictionary, review progress, statisticsNever on our server. They are on your device; uninstalling the app removes them
